Employment rates in Albuquerque continue to rise every year with the film industry providing many of its new jobs. Netflix recently made Albuquerque it's home by purchasing ABQ Studios. Netflix is reported to bring up to 1,000 jobs per year. In addition to Netflix, NBC Universal has also purchased a studio and Facebook is in the process of constructing a data center in Los Lunas, a town located about 45 minutes from Albuquerque.
